About The Position

HPC-Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors is looking for a Vapor Control Project Supervisor. The Vapor Control Project Supervisor supervises a crew in a single service line to complete jobs at the client's site in accordance with client and business requirements, HPC polices, practices and procedures. Vapor Control Supervisors have the potential to travel up to 60% percent of the time as we are a project-based service line.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 4 plus years with supervision experience
  • Knowledge of Vapor Control Equipment
  • Minimum 1-year experience of verifiable experience as an Vapor Control Equipment Operator or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 plus years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in service line.
  • Ability to comprehend the English language, written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
  • Current certification as an authorized Company driver.
  • CDL with endorsements, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs, provides feedback, directs and assists crew in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with client requirements and HPC policies, practices and procedures.
  • Enforces HPC employee policies and may remove employees from the job when required.
  • Assists HPC Vapor Control Operations Manager and Branch Manager with the creation and delivery of employee performance reviews
  • Review project scope of work to determine equipment, material and manpower requirements
  • Schedules equipment, materials and crew members
  • Inspect equipment and general work area prior to starting any job. Corrects deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity or harm to equipment or that are inconsistent with client's requirements
  • Informs client as required job status and client requirements.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required
  • Completes all appropriate paperwork including service receipts and submits to designated management departments
  • Trains Technicians and Operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork
  • Operates all necessary equipment in service line (thermal oxidizers, scrubber systems, etc.) in accordance with operation training and safety procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
