About The Position

FCS Services is a nationwide janitorial and facilities management company operating across 10+ states. We are committed to delivering high-quality cleaning solutions to our clients and building a team of dependable professionals who take pride in their work. We are looking for an experienced, full-time Supervisor to join our team at our Newark, DE location. This is a leadership role responsible for supervising janitorial staff and maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards of our clients' premises during the second shift.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in janitorial or facilities management preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products, including floor care.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work a second-shift schedule, including the required Friday schedule.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, and evaluate janitorial staff assigned to the site, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective performance.
  • Maintain staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and areas of responsibility.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to assess cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; conduct safety training sessions and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Prepare regular reports on site performance, including cleaning schedules, staffing levels, quality metrics, and client feedback.
  • Perform routine floor maintenance, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing of various flooring surfaces.
  • Assess floor conditions and execute restoration processes to remove stains, scratches, and other imperfections.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules and ensure seamless execution of services.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Address employee and client concerns promptly and communicate any operational issues to management.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are properly serviced and meet company and client quality standards.
