About The Position

Brown Jug is a premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits, offering a friendly atmosphere and energetic work environment. They provide customers with convenience, selection, and top-notch service. The Supervisor will support management of a multimillion-dollar business unit, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience, understanding customer needs, instilling a customer mindset within the store, participating in stocking and merchandising, and ensuring the store is stocked and ready to serve customers. This position will assist the Brown Jug Boniface Store (276) located at 5400 East Northern Lights Blvd.

Requirements

  • Customer service driven, friendly, and willing to talk to all customers.
  • Be a role model who supports and inspires fellow team members.
  • Maintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within required timeline.
  • Understand the POS system and all transactions that may arise.
  • Available to work a varied retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for an extended period.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
  • Employees must work in compliance with OHS acts and regulations.
  • Use personal protective equipment and clothing as directed.
  • Report workplace hazards and dangers to your manager or Health and Safety Representative.
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately to their manager and document accordingly.
  • Report all broken or damaged equipment to your manager and document accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to management of a multimillion-dollar business unit.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Understand customer needs and instill a customer mindset within the store.
  • Participate in stocking and merchandising of the store.
  • Ensure the store is stocked and ready to serve customers.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and set priorities in the absence of management.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to the team, participate in huddles/meetings, and relay pertinent information.
  • Provide guidance to team members while supporting management initiatives.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service using the 5 Non-Negotiables: Greet, Engage, Build, Add-on, and Thank.
  • Greet customers when they enter the store.
  • Generate sales by educating, advising, and suggesting products to every customer.
  • Maintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timeline.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service in the absence of management, and ensure management is informed of all customer complaints.
  • Assist customers from the store and/or offer car service when appropriate.
  • Ensure all merchandising and pricing guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure the store is clean and presentable and action any maintenance issues.
  • Execute merchandising programs.
  • Manage communication (mail, email, voicemail).
  • Maintain inventory levels and stocking.
  • Actively increase product knowledge.
  • Set daily tasks for the store, Huddle, Daily Checklist and Sales Tracker.
  • Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment.
  • Understand the POS system and all transactions that may arise.
  • Ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are done correctly.
  • Complete daily reports.
  • Ensure the safe is always locked and deposits are secured.
  • Strive to make daily goals.
  • Work in compliance with OHS acts and regulations.
  • Use personal protective equipment and clothing as directed.
