About The Position

As a Supervisor in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department, you will play a key leadership role in supporting staff and ensuring high-quality care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will oversee daily operations, provide supervision and training, and foster a collaborative, person-centered environment that aligns with Pittsburgh Mercy’s mission and values.

Requirements

Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and at least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Experience in staff supervision and training
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Valid Driver’s License and access to transportation
Required clearances and pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to direct care staff.
Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
Oversee onboarding and ongoing training to ensure staff meet regulatory and organizational standards.
Manage day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to policies.
Foster strong relationships with individuals served families, staff, and external partners.
Address concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely, professional manner.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to program development and innovation.
