About The Position

This position is an integral part of the Food & Beverage team. You will play a key role in the organization and supervision of our flagship restaurant, Alto Kitchen & Bar. You have adaptive leadership abilities and a keen desire for exceptional guest experience. The schedule for this position fluctuates to meet the demands of our business levels and the needs of the management team. While your primary focus will be on day-to-day operations of Alto Kitchen & Bar you may also be required to assist in other areas from time to time.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thoroughly familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Profitek (or similar) POS system.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent people skills including the ability to resolve customer satisfaction problems.
  • Several years experience in Food and Beverage and 1 or more years supervisory experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Secondary Education Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for 9-10 hour shifts.
  • Must be available for full-time for the season.

  • Hands-on experience as bartender, server, and cashier.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all administrative responsibilities pertaining to Alto Kitchen & Bar are looked after and monitored.
  • Ensure cash-outs are accurate, sales are entered on the day they occur, participate in inventory counts and general inventory controls.
  • Ensure schedules are written within the needs for the events and that budgeted labour targets are met.
  • Ensure special events are well documented via detailed shift reports and post-mortems.
  • Continually monitor and have active involvement in ordering and maintaining applicable FOH products.
  • Ensure clear, concise, and professional communication with all other departments on the resort.
  • Ensure a WOW factor in every guest experience on a daily basis.
  • Develop and lead a team that creates exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure high product and service quality and consistency, revenue levels, cost controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in required operational meetings as requested by the manager.
  • Help manager in developing promotional programs that include food and beverage, guest services, interdepartmental and employee incentives.
  • Lead and assist in ensuring all areas of the resort outlet restaurant are permanently kept clean, tidy and presentable according to the requirements of Strata, Management and Senior Management.
  • Report maintenance requirements and follow up in completion.
  • Ensure all pricing is correct throughout out POS system and on all displays. Report any pricing errors to the manager for review and correction.
  • Ensure food quality is always optimal each day.
  • Ensure scheduling, training, and grooming standards are always being met.
  • Ensure employees are always being efficient with their time management.
  • Nurture positive and professional communications between all employees.
  • Support employee’s needs to ensure their happiness to result in excellent results.
