Supervisor of Winnebago County Safety Services and Youth Support Services
About The Position
Professional Services Group (PSG) is hiring a Supervisor to lead the In-Home Safety Services (IHSS) and Youth Support Services (YSS) teams. PSG is a community-based organization focused on helping families achieve their full potential through innovative programming. The IHSS program assists families referred by Winnebago County Human Services to ensure child safety, either preventing removal or supporting reunification. Staff in this program help families build support systems and resources for safety and stability, strengthening the parent-child relationship. The YSS program serves at-risk youth and their families, with Youth Support Specialists collaborating with Winnebago County Youth Justice Social Workers to address client needs such as mental health, emotional regulation, social skills, education, and truancy prevention. The Supervisor will direct and monitor all aspects of both the IHSS and YSS programs.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, personal automobile insurance, and reliable transportation on a daily basis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related is required.
- Must have a minimum of two years' experience working with at-risk youth and families.

Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage program staff.
- Carry out objectives set by management.
- Monitor and be accountable for program budgets.
- Set and monitor employee caseloads.
- Maintain a light caseload as an IHSS and YSS Worker.
- Prepare required reports and all other program documentation accurately and on time.
- Review staff case notes, safety assessments, and safety plans.
- Ensure quality assurance through file reviews.
- Conduct weekly staffing.
- Act as a resource for workers in emergency and crisis situations.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
