About The Position

This position is designed to give daily direction, provide feedback and coaching, and define departmental objectives in the following areas of a distribution center: parts control, warehousing, sequencing, repack, and inventory control. The Distribution Supervisor will also act as a communicator of processes, policies, and administrative issues. This position will also be tasked with providing an example for all associates, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or 4 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Forklift Certification
  • 3+ years as a YNA Team Lead or 4+ years external supervisory experience preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites
  • English is required for all supervisors.
  • 24/7 including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge and application of the following systems: Microsoft Office applications, SAP, Customer Specific Systems for Parts Control, GQRS

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper training and related documentation for all department associates
  • Plans associate work schedules
  • Supervises direct reports
  • Provides guidance, coaching and counseling
  • Prepares associate evaluations
  • Orders services, supplies, and minor equipment
  • Prepares reports as required
  • Manages operational expenses related to the facility or department
  • Assists in the preparation and maintaining of annual budgets
  • Contacts YNA internal and external customers directly
  • Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints
  • Reports and resolves shortages, damages, and other discrepancies
  • Assures that Customer Specific Requirements are met
