About The Position

Responsible for the day to day stability of a specific unit within the department. Directs and monitors the work effort of others to ensure the team operates smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and corrects deficiencies in warehouse initiatives (e.g., safety security, energy efficiency, economic) that meet district distribution requirements, and meet or exceed standards for quality and service.
  • Receives, verifies and stores equipment, materials and supplies in proper warehouse locations.
  • Communicates and coordinates delivery information with shipping and receiving personnel (e.g., clerks, truck drivers).
  • Obeys traffic laws, and follows established traffic, transportation, and district procedures.
  • Operates, troubleshoots and performs preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment.
  • Prepares items and orders for delivery, pulling orders from warehouse and prioritizing load according to order of delivery following safety procedures.
  • Receives, responds to and resolves inquiries and requests for service about warehouse operations and district-wide policies and procedures.
  • Assigns packing sheets to shipping clerks and supervises proper preparation of materials for delivery.
  • Creates route schedules according to load capacities, quantities requested and in accordance with warehouse and district procedures.
  • Plans, conducts and supervises inventory process. Checks stock discrepancies against data processing records and makes necessary adjustments to correct stock balances or descriptions with inventory clerk. Updates and organizes warehouse inventory, receipt of goods and distribution records.
  • Monitors process productivity, adherence to safety rules and policy, and physical security of warehouse, identifying and correcting areas of potential internal and external loss.
  • Inspects visual condition of warehouse, fleet, and equipment, and reports or schedules maintenance, repair or replacement concerns to manager.
  • Supervises testing, implementation and development of new technologies required to improve efficiencies in services provided by the Warehouse to schools and departments.
  • Supervises annual and periodic inventory of warehouse items, cooperating with audits and inventory requirements, and updating inventory.
  • Manages Central Equipment Pool pick-up, storage, reassignments, sale and discard of furniture and equipment from district schools and departments.
