This role is an integral part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, which is responsible for managing logistics, inventory, and supply chain analytics to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Alcon's leading products. The Supervisor I, Warehouse & Distribution Management is primarily tasked with leading team members to ensure efficient operations within warehouse and distribution centers. This involves making daily decisions, managing tasks, optimizing workflows, and cultivating a culture of safety and continuous improvement at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX. All associates are required to adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all necessary training. Associates are responsible for meeting individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization, with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement being essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc. +6 yrs; M.S. +0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of relevant experience
  • 1 year of demonstrated leadership

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes
  • Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members and manage task assignments
  • Optimize storage space, material flows, and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments for timely distribution
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
  • Train and mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, and drive talent development
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Lead performance management and enhance employee engagement
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
