About The Position

Oversee the day-to-day running and use of the Wardrobe Room. This role involves managing the operations of the Wardrobe Department, monitoring inventory, interviewing, hiring, and training personnel, preparing performance reviews, and scheduling team members. The supervisor is also responsible for the upkeep of all uniforms, including sewing, alterations, fittings, and mending, as well as assisting Wardrobe Attendants and maintaining the cleanliness of the office and public areas. The position requires operating sewing machines, inspecting and repairing uniforms, and ensuring all internal guests are treated professionally.

Requirements

  • 1 years Wardrobe experience
  • Google Suite experience
  • Ability to uphold presentation/demeanor in stressful situations and calling for assistance when necessary
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of sewing and sewing machine use
  • Previous experience in supervisory position is essential
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to operate all equipment
  • Ability to communicate with team members and guests
  • Ability to be a TEAM player
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Wardrobe Department
  • Monitor paperwork on uniforms issued for accurate inventory control
  • Interview, hire, and train wardrobe personnel in all areas of inventory and operations
  • Update department files
  • Ensure all internal guests are treated in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner
  • Prepares periodic team member performance reviews
  • Schedules all team members to ensure that there is sufficient workforce available to provide the most efficient service possible
  • Ensures the upkeep of all uniforms to include sewing of new uniforms or special uniforms, alteration, fittings, and mending
  • Issues uniforms to team members completing all required paperwork according to established department guidelines
  • Assist Wardrobe Attendants as needed
  • Cleans/keeps office and public areas neat
  • Operates sewing machines
  • Inspects and repairs uniforms as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
