The Supervisor, Trucks oversees a large, dynamic shop responsible for the maintenance and repair of Komatsu and other OEM equipment. This role provides hands-on leadership and technical oversight, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality repair operations. Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, plus Red Seal certification.
Prior supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of Komatsu and other OEM equipment.
Solid understanding of OHS legislation, safety standards, and inspection practices.
Ability to oversee and coordinate a large shop operation.
Highly organized, performance-focused, and self-motivated.
Valid driver’s license (Class 5/G or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality maintenance and repair of Komatsu and other OEM equipment.
Assign, schedule, and coordinate work for 20+ Heavy Equipment Technicians (HETs), electricians, and welders.
Complete in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards and documentation requirements are met.
Prepare and manage work orders, service quotes, warranty documentation, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
Coach and develop employees through training, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
Enforce safety standards, participate in incident investigations, review timecards, and ensure procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
Resolve customer concerns by diagnosing issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring timely follow-up and communication.
Support planning, prioritization, and dispatch of field work, including PM services and Komatsu Care programs.
Manage inventory needs for major work orders, order parts and supplies, and complete shipping/receiving documentation.
Participate in safety programs, audits, and corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the branch.
