This position is primarily responsible for scheduling mold repairs, manage mold spare parts inventory, oversee & perform mold changeovers. The Supervisor will ensure all company policies and written procedures are followed, enforce safety and sanitation regulations, and conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures. This role strives continually to work toward decreasing unscheduled machine downtime, inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, and keeps records of employee attendance and hours worked. The Supervisor will maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results. They will observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards, plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals, and requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Additionally, the Supervisor will set up and adjust machines and equipment, initiate start-up of all machines being used for production, coordinate verification of all output daily, and coordinate logistically with setup all mold changes needing to be initiated. This role coordinates the mold schedule and assists with mold changes as needed, ensures processes and products conform to company quality standards, and ensures timely delivery of product to downstream manufacturing processes. The Supervisor will troubleshoot mold issues to keep the molding department operating efficiently and set up processes as required.
