This role supervises the daily production of Photovoltaic modules in accordance with required quality standards and in a cost-efficient manner. The position involves training and mentoring Supervisor I associates to maximize their supervisory skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to think outside the box and to develop unique and timely solutions. If assigned to the coater area, knowledge of vacuum systems and laser operations is required. The role directly supervises the daily production of Photovoltaic modules in multiple areas of the plant, leads and participates in continuous improvement activities, and may assume delegate responsibilities for Shift Manager as required. The position is responsible for controlling costs, maintaining budget accuracy, monitoring and coordinating Work In Process (WIP) optimization, and maintaining training matrices. The role supports safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and coordinates on-the-job training. It also involves identifying training opportunities, maintaining associate records, effective use of internal manufacturing software, maintaining accurate timekeeping, and product inventory accuracy. The role utilizes Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology, interfaces with other departments, supports customer expectations, and coordinates day-to-day issues with other supervisors. It also involves evaluating and monitoring manufacturing processes, eliminating downtime constraints, and conducting performance appraisals.
