About The Position

The Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations leads the daily performance of Duly's buying and inventory teams translating the priorities set by the Director of Supply Chain Operations into consistent day-to-day execution. This supervisor ensures purchase orders are processed accurately and on time, inventory levels are maintained at appropriate par levels, and clinics and departments across all sites of care have reliable access to the products they need — balancing supply availability against cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management.
  • At least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/supply chain systems (e.g., Lawson, Infor, Workday, Oracle, or similar) and inventory management or point-of-use technology.
  • Working knowledge of GPO contracting, purchase order lifecycle management, and inventory control methodologies (par levels, cycle counting, ABC analysis).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong people-leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a frontline team accountable to performance and service standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clinical staff, vendors, and department leadership.

  • Healthcare, physician group, or hospital supply chain experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the workload of Buyers and Inventory Management Specialists.
  • Monitor purchase order queues, requisition backlogs, and receiving exceptions.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate team members; manage performance and support career development.
  • Review and approve purchase orders confirming appropriate approval workflows are followed.
  • Oversee par-level setting and inventory processes to minimize stockouts, expired product, and excess carrying costs.
  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify root causes of variances and recommend corrective action.
  • Support implementation of new item conversions, GPO contract changes, and formulary updates.
  • Oversee all of the receiving & delivery duties for main campus, ASC and the rural locations.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for supply chain service issues affecting clinics and departments.
  • Resolve vendor service failures, backorders, pricing discrepancies, and delivery issues.
  • Partner with clinics and operations to resolve recurring supply issues and communicate substitutions.
  • Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.
  • Translate purchasing and inventory performance into insights that support departmental decision-making.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards tracking departmental & vendor performance.
  • Prepare summaries of team performance, including exception rates, resolution timelines, and cost impact.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline buying and inventory workflows.
