About The Position
The Supervisor, Sterile Processing assists the manager with the daily operations of the Sterile Processing department. The position combines personnel management with technical work in decontamination, surgical instrumentation, tray assembly, and case carts. The department performs decontamination; instrument and tray assembly; preparation, packaging, and sterilization; case cart assembly; ad hoc dispensing of patient care supplies; and equipment reprocessing, tracking, and dispensing.
Requirements
- Current CBSPD or IAHCSMM CRCST certification, or obtain certification within one year of hire.
- High school graduate.
- One year of experience in one or more of the following: CS/SP, Sterile Processing Technician, or certified scrub technician.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Technical skills in case carts, surgical instruments, sterilization, and tray assembly.
- Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
