About The Position

As a Supervisor in Reprocessing and Distribution Services (RDS), you’ll lead the teams responsible for ensuring safe and sterile surgical instrumentation and equipment. This role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance across instrument decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution processes, ensuring regulatory standards and infection prevention practices are consistently met. You will oversee operational functions across sterile processing, including: Decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution workflows; Staffing alignment to workload and operational demand; Equipment maintenance, preventive processes, and quality compliance; Partnering with education and quality leaders to ensure regulatory standards are met; Hiring, performance management, and development of team members; Process improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and regulatory readiness. In addition, this role supports policy development, education, and quality assurance initiatives; leads through coaching, teaching, and development of team members; and partners with leadership on process improvement and ensures regulatory readiness and compliance. The sterile processing team focuses on the decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. This team plays a critical role in infection prevention and regulatory compliance across the organization. Work in this area is highly process-driven and essential to supporting all procedural and patient care environments.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED with previous supervisory experience or an individual with demonstrated leadership ability is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills and ability to meet project timelines.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, related field, or equivalent and three years of management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in supply chain operations, customer service, or related environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of reprocessing principles, quality assurance, inventory control, and continuous performance improvement concepts is preferred.
