About The Position

To supervise Central Processing personnel and coordinate all departmental activities, to assess, standardize and monitor under the auspices of the Infection Control committee all sterilization equipment, protocols and practices across the entire Valley Health System, including hospital, Luckow Pavilion and all Valley Medical Group practices, submits regular reports to the Infection Control Committee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Central Service Technician course recognized by the New Jersey Department of Health
• National Central Service Technician Certification required
• Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) required
• Five plus years of verifiable Central Processing experience
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate and write in English
• Effective customer relation skills
• Effective supervisory and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively problem-solve and follow-through to resolve issues/concerns/problems
• Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergent situations
• Attentive to details and the ability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
• Understand the AAMI standards and implement new ideas utilizing the standards as a reference
