About The Position

As a Sonography Supervisor, you would ensure the ultrasound department runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently every day. This role directly impacts patient care by coordinating staffing, maintaining high imaging quality, and ensuring equipment is fully functional and ready for use. By supporting technologists, collaborating with radiologists, and upholding regulatory standards, the supervisor strengthens clinical excellence and creates a reliable, patient-centered environment for our patients and communities we serve.

Requirements

Graduate of a JRCERT-approved program required
Minimum of three years' experience as a staff sonographer with experience in Abdomen and/or Ob/GYN
ARDMS certification from the American Registry for Diagnostica Medical Sonography required at time of hire
BLS Certification by American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

RVT certification preferred at time of hire, but required within 1 year of hire date

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound section, including supervising and scheduling staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring consistent coverage for all patient populations.
Monitor equipment performance, manage maintenance needs, and maintain supply readiness in all procedure rooms.
Lead competency reviews, training, protocol updates, and student education while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
Gather and interpret performance data, drive quality improvement initiatives, and document adverse events.
Payroll oversight.
Occasional travel to other MLH sites.
Participation in on-call rotations when required.
