About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, Slot Performance, the Supervisor, Slot Performance oversees slot performance data, analytics, and project execution while staying current on market trends and new products. Works closely with the Manager and Director of Slot Performance to coordinate and implement gaming machine changes, conversions, and installations to maximize machine profitability and ensure compliance with all gaming regulations. The Supervisor, Slot Performance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of slot activity reporting and overseeing the work of Slot Performance Analysts and Slot Project Coordinators to ensure projects are effectively planned and executed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field required.
  • Minimum - three (3) years of experience in slot operations required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point essential.
  • Must have demonstrated ability exercising utmost discretion with confidential information including, but not limited to: confidential information related to customers, as well as company financial data.
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum - two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination and execution of slot projects by leading the Slot Project Coordinators and preparing and conducting weekly project meetings with the Technical and Performance teams. Coordinates and implements new installations with Slot Project Coordinators, internal stakeholders, vendors and regulatory agencies. Coordinates delivery and pickup of slot equipment with vendors.
  • Ensures that product mix, pricing and placement are positioned, managed and continuously evaluated for optimum performance.
  • Reviews lease game fees to ensure that accurate records are kept and reported on by the Slot Performance Analysts. Oversees the regular auditing of slot file indexes, point packages, and ratio packages to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains an excellent working knowledge of slot accounting, player tracking, ticket validation, and performance management and data analysis systems. Ensures the accurate transposing of data into the slot file and various reporting tools.
  • Supervises and plans gaming floor changes based on the direction of the Manager of Slot Performance, while using the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Submits plans to Fire and Surveillance for approval and maintains accurate records of the total slot count.
  • Communicates regularly with Gaming Commission personnel to ensure the Slot Department is in full compliance with internal controls and Gaming Commission regulations. Cooperates to ensure revoked software is removed from the floor in an expedient manner. Reviews and records regulatory notifications in collaboration with the Manager Slot Performance and Manager Slot Technical to develop and implement action plans.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of gaming floor expansion and remodel projects. Aids in the coordination of system upgrades and/or interruptions. Troubleshoots deficiencies until status quo is restored.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. Supervises Slot Project Coordinator and Slot Performance Analyst positions.
