About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained and when necessary, properly fixed in a safe and timely manner. This includes helping mechanics diagnose problems and prioritize work properly ensuring performance of equipment and that it meets Tyson and D.O.T standards in addition to monitoring parts that are installed on vehicles and those that need to be ordered. Other responsibilities include: completing shop work orders and calculating labor time on completion of job; scheduling P.M. maintenance with dispatchers or division managers; ensuring all licenses and permits are installed; creating and maintaining the consignment program; holding monthly safety meetings; other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Special knowledge in a particular field such as accounting data processing or electronics normally acquired through two years of college vocational or technical school training resulting in an Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • 1 plus years' experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
