About The Position

Direct and supervise shipping/receiving personnel to ensure timely shipments are made and product is accurately received while maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of relevant work experience
2 years of experience formal leadership position
2 years of experience in a union setting, when applicable

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree
APICS CPIM
2 years of experience in plastics or fabrication

Responsibilities

Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting safety incidents, enforcing safety-related policies and procedures, and conducting any needed training.
Ensure deliveries are scheduled and completed based on available and anticipated inventory and order promise dates.
Address and communicate quality issues to internal team and external customers.
Ensure raw materials are received and accurately placed into inventory.
Ensure warehouse and materials are well-organized.
Confer with plant personnel and other departments to review activities and operating reports to determine changes in schedules.
Maintain a high degree of plant floor visibility throughout the shift.
Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
Conduct annual performance reviews.
Other duties as assigned.
