About The Position

The Service Release and Acquisition Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of projects and relationships in connection with the transferring of residential mortgage servicing rights. This role involves project management and coordination of activities related to Carrington’s role as either the transferring servicer or the receiving servicer. The position requires adherence to all company policies, US state and federal laws, and regulations. The target pay range for this position is $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr plus bonus.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of loan servicing best practices and loan transfers
  • Strong knowledge of relevant and industry-specific computer software packages at an intermediate level including FiServ/LoanServ, LenStar, New Invoice, and Equator.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
  • Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with Senior Management as an advisor on projects, and to act as the company’s principal spokesperson in area of expertise
  • Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on a long-term basis
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts and computer models
  • Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc., and to make presentations outside the immediate work area
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) to four (4) years’ escrow and mortgage experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year prior loan boarding and acquisition experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year prior experience with data analytics and data mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out Supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, monitoring performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensures CMS policies and procedures are followed, and that acquisition or service release project plans comply with executed contracts related to servicing transfers.
  • Monitors all service transfer activities and processes for acquisitions to ensure quality and timely boarding of loans into the servicing system.
  • Works with the current servicer to facilitate a smooth transfer of information necessary for loan servicing.
  • Ensures knowledge of, and compliance with, all current state and federal regulations involving loan servicing.
  • Supervises pipeline activities and loan onboarding to identify controllable/uncontrollable issues requiring operational and training enhancements and/or individual coaching.
  • Ensures the appropriate control environment is in place with applicable reporting at the individual and department level.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with clients, vendors, and internal business partners.
  • Partners with executive management in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains department workflow with Managers.
  • Partners with senior and executive management to establish training guidelines and identify and implement quality and productivity improvements within the Acquisition and Service Release department.
  • Ensures that all policies, procedures, and training materials are defined and validated annually.
  • Ensures excellent customer service is provided to both internal and external customers by Acquisition and Service Release staff.
  • Ensures that staff adhere to established servicing best practices as appropriate.
