This role is responsible for supervising, coaching, and mentoring STAR/CHIP/or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) which include Service Coordinators/Case Managers, UM/ECM RN, and support staff. The primary goal is to ensure the achievement of department goals and objectives. The Supervisor also acts as a process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long-term supports and services (LTSS). Cook Children's Health Plan provides vital coverage to nearly 120,000 people in low-income families who qualify for government-sponsored programs in its six-county service region, including Tarrant, Johnson, Denton, Parker, Hood, and Wise counties. The Health Plan offers health coverage for CHIP, CHIP Perinatal, STAR (Medicaid), and STAR Kids Members in the Tarrant county service area.
