About The Position

As a Site Security Supervisor, you lead the day-to-day security operations at your assigned Dexcom facility, ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and partners. You supervise the contracted guard force, oversee access control and lobby operations, respond to incidents, and work closely with cross-functional teams to support site operations and mitigate risk.

Requirements

• Strong leadership skills and excel at guiding contracted guard staff through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and daily operational support.
• Solid understanding of physical security operations, access control systems, CCTV usage, incident documentation, and compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills across functions, engaging professionally with Facilities, HR, EHSS, IT, site leadership, and external responders.
• Proactive in identifying risks, analyzing incident trends, and implementing preventive or corrective actions.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies, make quick decisions, and confidently lead on-site response and communication.
• Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in logs, pass-downs, training records, badge management, and audit documentation.
• Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, ensuring high performance, adherence to standards, and alignment with Dexcom expectations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable adjusting to evolving staffing, operational, and site needs.
• Minimum of three years of experience overseeing security personnel, contracted guard forces, or comparable frontline operational teams in the private sector.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of industry experience
• Informal management/ team lead experience

• Active member of relevant security communities (i.e., ASIS, etc.) to stay current on best practices, emerging threats, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily physical security operations, including guard force management, lobby operations, patrols, and access control oversight.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and safety inspections across lobbies, parking areas, interiors, exteriors, and high-risk zones, identifying hazards and coordinating corrective actions with Facilities and EHSS.
• Manage onboard/offboard of contracted security staff, validate training compliance, maintain rosters, and ensure proper access provisioning and deactivation.
• Lead daily or shift-start briefings, perform spot checks on guard performance, and ensure all posts are staffed and supported with required equipment.
• Coordinate on-site emergency response, act as the incident lead, and liaise with law enforcement, fire, and EMS when needed.
• Support HR/ER investigations by reviewing CCTV, extracting access logs, building timelines, and documenting incidents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Plan and execute security support for on-site events, ensuring appropriate staffing, access controls, emergency readiness, and a post-event debrief.
• Monitor incident trends, maintain logs, and compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on incidents, KPIs, staffing, risks, and corrective actions.
• Continuously review physical security procedures for assigned Dexcom locations to ensure industry’s best practices and appropriate mitigation strategies are utilized.
