About The Position

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is a historic and architecturally significant hotel on Miami Beach, known for its blend of Golden Era glamour and modern luxury. It reinvents the original vision of architect Morris Lapidus, creating a vibrant guest experience through striking design, contemporary art, music, fashion, and technology. Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach when opened in 1954 and is considered Lapidus' most significant career building. The hotel offers guests a world where they can play, shop, dine, spa, meet, or relax.

Requirements

Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
Availability to work in the Overnight shift.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years hotel security experience or minimum of two years (2) Security Supervisor/Manager experience or other management experience.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual highly desirable.
College degree preferred.
Military or law enforcement background preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, visitors, and employees.
Responding to emergencies, disturbances, undesired conduct, and threats to life and property.
Responding to assigned calls and initiating necessary reports and/or corrective action.
Monitoring the employee entrance/exit to ensure appropriate property business.
Answering security telephone and dispatching calls to officers using a two-way radio system.
Monitoring surveillance system, fire alarm system, property access control door alarm system, and other systems in the security control room.
Consulting internally with Company personnel and departments to assure adequate security.
Guest room door lock and safe repair.
Conducting fire watch.
Performing preventative maintenance on Security equipment.
Serving as Lead Officer and supervision of Tier 2 and 3.
Initiating fire watch when needed.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
