About The Position

Valley Youth House is a nonprofit organization that empowers and strengthens the lives of children, youth, and families through inclusive programming that builds resilience and fosters growth and independence. Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in a human service discipline.
  • Five years of appropriate experience are required (preferably two of which are supervisory experience).
  • Must be an individual who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and develop positive relationships with school clients and ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Provide supervision to clinical staff including regular weekly meetings and telephone contact as needed.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to staff including commendations and disciplinary and performance issues as appropriate, including reviews and periodic evaluations.
  • Supervise the overall services, review each client's Individualized Treatment Plan, and take necessary actions to ensure proper implementation.
  • Review and maintain case files for each client in care at least four times annually.
  • Monitor on a monthly basis the quantity and quality of staff work and ensure services are provided according to program protocols.
  • Review staff time sheets on a bi-weekly basis to ensure service provision meets program standards, and approve/disapprove program staff requests for time off.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings for each program as necessary and whole-program meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Work with the Associate Director of Prevention to expand the programs to other schools/districts.
  • Interview and participate in the selection of staff for openings while maintaining a culturally competent staff.
  • Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President when a death occurs in an open case or a case closed within the agency in the past 30 days.
  • Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President any situation in which a client or staff is threatening to sue or file a complaint against the agency.
  • Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President the filing of any criminal charges or child abuse reports regarding students or staff.
