The Financial Counseling Supervisor serves as the frontline operational leader responsible for developing staff, driving performance, leading change, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting Mayo Clinic’s mission through exceptional patient financial experiences. The Supervisor is responsible for balancing people leadership, operational management, strategic initiatives, and organizational change while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor serves as the primary connection between frontline Financial Counseling staff and leadership by translating organizational priorities into actionable workflows, measurable outcomes, and sustainable improvements. This role requires advanced knowledge of Revenue Cycle operations, Financial Counseling workflows, patient access functions, payer requirements, financial clearance processes, Epic functionality, and patient financial experience principles. The FC Supervisor is expected to model Mayo Clinic values, demonstrate leadership presence, lead through influence, communicate effectively during change, and support enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
