Supervisor, Retail
About The Position
The Supervisor - Retail is responsible for assisting with the planning and direction of the Retail operations, including all related management functions with the end result of a positive guest experience. Essential duties include, but not limited to: Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, merchandising, greeting ALL guests, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. Provide exemplary guest service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to guest inquiries and complaints. Monitor sales activities to ensure that guests receive exemplary service and quality merchandise. Inventory stock and reorder according to set pars. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Drive team to achieve sales goals daily. Responsible for buying a product line for the Retail shop. Leading a team of 20+ Retail Sales Associates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degreee or relevant work experience in a Retail environtment holding a leadership position required
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience or leading team of front line employees
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- Must have working knowledge of current computer applications (documents and spreadsheets).
- Experience with inventory and purchasing systems preferred.
- Must possess ability to communicate with staff, vendors and interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule format
- Must possess well-developed mathematical skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must possess problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of management
- Must be able to work extended hours, overnight hours, weekends and holidays as needed
- Buying experience preferred
- Knowledge of managing inventory
