About The Position

The Repair Supervisor leads daily board-level electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair in support of Lenze products, while also supervising both mechanical and electronic repair technicians to align priorities and throughput repairing Lenze products. The role provides technical direction, ensures clear documentation and timely turnaround, and partners with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Service to resolve issues and improve processes while maintaining compliance with safety protocols, ESD controls, and quality management systems. You are a hands-on supervisor who enjoys solving technical problems while guiding a team to deliver high-quality results. You bring strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset, and you work well across teams to resolve issues and keep work moving.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of repair and troubleshooting experience, preferably in the industrial automation industry
  • Minimum of 1 year in similar supervisor role with direct reports
  • Strong communication, organization, and coaching skills.
  • SAP proficiency preferred (production confirmations, labor entry, scrap, materials).
  • Foundational Lean knowledge (5S, waste reduction, standard work).
  • Ability to interpret production documentation, drawings, BOMs, schematics and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop repair shop staff to drive high performance and consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day support to technicians through troubleshooting, diagnostics, and hands-on assistance with urgent or complex repairs.
  • Address repair shop issues promptly to minimize disruption, reduce downtime, and maintain workflow.
  • Assign work, balance priorities, monitor workload and capacity, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
  • Provide technical direction for functional, in-circuit, and diagnostic testing by reviewing failure analysis, confirming root cause, and ensuring corrective actions and documentation are complete and accurate.
  • Review repair documentation, verify testing and workmanship, and ensure work is completed accurately and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Service teams to resolve issues, share findings, and support timely customer turnaround.
  • Maintain test equipment readiness, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and dynamometers, through basic maintenance, verification, and coordination of calibration or repair as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the repair process and implement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
  • Coordinate with Operations to manage critical spares, consumables, and repair tools and fixtures, and flag shortages to prevent downtime.
  • Ensure all repair activities comply with applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and support regular safety audits and continuous improvement efforts.
