About The Position

The Supervisor-Release of Info is responsible for ensuring that Release of Information operations objectives, principles, values, mission, and foundation are clearly followed. This role supervises and leads personnel by executing the daily operations of the ROI section. The position promotes employee engagement and development, work quality, turnaround times, operational efficiency, long and short-term planning, and customer-oriented thinking within a service leadership framework. The Supervisor works alongside staff in various areas when needed and assures all functions are carried out in an accurate and productive manner. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field required.
  • Two years of experience working in medical records required.
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality.
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Able to communicate effectively on the telephone.
  • Able to think critically.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload.

  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred.
