Requirements

Associates degree in radiology Technology (required)
3-4 years' Experience as a registered radiology technologist (required)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
Maryland State License (required)

Responsibilities

Oversees radiology operations in the absence of the Director, ensuring timely and efficient patient care, proper exam prioritization, and adherence to infection control guidelines.
Prepares and positions patients, operates radiology equipment, develops films, and ensures image quality for accurate interpretation.
Cleans and disinfects radiology rooms and equipment, maintains radiation safety protocols, and coordinates necessary equipment servicing.
Works closely with nurses, physicians, and radiology teams to clarify exam orders, coordinate emergency procedures, and provide performance improvement input.
Organizes workflow, prepares shift change reports, assists with transporting patients, and ensures compliance with departmental policies.
