Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus business is at the core of Military and Commercial Engine applications production with the manufacture of Forgings for Disks and Airfoils, Machining and Finishing of Aircraft Hardware. The Supervisor, Quality Inspection will be responsible for ensuring Quality Compliance within Inspection Operations and meeting Customer Expectations through On-time Delivery while working to drive efficiency into the Quality Inspection Processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment OR an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment
  • In absence of a degree, High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in an environment with constantly shifting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP and Solumina
  • Leadership experience with specialized knowledge, or technical/operational practices, and/or shop environment experience
  • Understanding of Lean Six-Sigma/CORE concepts
  • Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of the team by driving a safety-first culture.
  • Enable the Inspection Team by providing training and development.
  • Lead a team that is empowered to make decisions that meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for documentation of quality requirements to establish and implement improvements.
  • Provide transparency in quality operations performance and plans to address gaps in meeting daily business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the quality engineering and manufacturing engineering teams in addressing quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the working team to develop continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and meet customer objectives.
