Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
A minimum of 10 years accounting experience is required.
Prior supervisory experience is required.
Must be proficient in Excel.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and external parties.
Possess strong analytical skills.
A self-starter who has the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Able to take direction well and upholds the standards and procedures of the department.
Must be flexible and responsive to team needs.
Comfortable working with staff in the assigning and managing of duties and providing direction, constructive feedback and praise.
Ability to adapt to change and work in a fluid environment.
Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

A CPA is preferred.
Energy industry experience is preferred.
Oracle experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervision of property accounting staff of four to eight employees.
Responsible for the monthly duties surrounding the close of the PCM subledger.
Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting schedules.
Preparation of quarterly variance analysis.
Handle requests for project capitalization and classification guidance.
Handle requests for internal and external audits and special projects.
Maintain high standards within the team and provide direction and coaching to the staff.
Responsible for the timely resolution of outstanding accounting issues.
SOX controls documentation and testing.
Support changes during accounting software implementation.
