This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. It requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The role involves checking daily production orders, ensuring all positions are filled before start-up, overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation for ergonomics, and ensuring machinery performs to the highest standard. Other responsibilities include ensuring workstations pass USDA Inspection, promoting safety daily and through monthly meetings, and ensuring accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies, encouraging Team Members, and performing human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling. The position also involves overseeing various processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to solve problems, keeping records of reworked or returned product, providing continuous education on quality, and performing other duties as needed.
