About The Position

The Supervisor Production role is responsible for ensuring employee safety, product quality, and asset performance while meeting the shift/line/area production plan. This is achieved by leading a team of approximately 30 employees, which includes participating in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and corrective actions. The role requires proactive cooperation with other site and NUSA groups to ensure alignment with organizational goals. It also involves modeling desired behaviors to foster an engaging and motivating workplace culture and focusing on results to achieve key performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely deployment of the People development plan and assure team competencies as per the agreed plan with PM, including equipment, safety procedures, and hygiene training.
  • Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the team.
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times, with updated work instructions available for all positions.
  • Ensure processes are run in accordance with SOPs, SSOPs, and other documentation.
  • Communicate and accomplish activities with environmental impact according to the environmental management system.
  • Ensure quality objectives are met, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality checks.
  • Actively participate in the prevention and correction of quality-related errors.
  • Check and enforce personnel hygiene and safety, including protective clothing, shoe changes, and hand washing.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to employees to fulfill and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach.
  • Daily review of target achievement and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management.
  • Ensure continuous line controls and immediate corrective actions to assure prescribed quality and compliance with manufacturing instructions, internal and external regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure ongoing smooth operations of the factory through effective employee and industrial relations management.
  • Ensure adequate distribution of skills to effectively achieve the production plan.
  • Ensure timely launch of new products to the market as agreed with the business unit/area.
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of installations in coordination with quality, engineering, and administration.
  • Review daily maintenance effectiveness with Maintenance Mechanic(s) and Team members to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and ensure maintenance and repairs are completed to maximize efficiency.

  • Maintain properly skilled crew at all times and minimize overtime hours.
  • Control absenteeism through supervisory emphasis and counseling.
  • Ensure accomplishment of teams' assigned duties and continued development of skills and competencies.

Benefits

  • The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
  • The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $80,000.00- $90,000.00 a year.
