This role manages all aspects of the production process within a manufacturing area, ensuring proper coordination between company departments and the manufacturing line. The Supervisor will understand the organization's support functions (engineering, sales, accounting, supply chain, human resources, and manufacturing) to effectively communicate, plan, and resolve issues with their production team. Key responsibilities include recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. The role is responsible for ensuring that contributions from each department result in a high-quality, safe product for the customer. Additionally, the Supervisor will manage employees to ensure effective employee relations, adherence to health and safety management systems, consistent productivity, minimized turnover, proper inventory levels, and consistent high-quality standards. The position also involves providing employee coaching and development, partnering with HR to resolve employee issues, issuing discipline, and making employment decisions. Continuous improvement is a focus, utilizing the Good to Go process to monitor daily activities. The Supervisor is also responsible for performing accident investigations and making recommendations to EHS, tracking absenteeism, approving vacation, and managing timesheets for direct reports.
