Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred? or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
  • Strong computer skills are necessary including Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to look up standard Excel documents.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stand, walk m stoop, reach above and below shoulders (lift 30 to 90 pounds intermittently and may assist with lifting).

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the production line workers.
  • Routine communication of job assignments.
  • Training for specific product runs.
  • Placement of Line Workers in assignments as required for the day.
  • Before shift starts physically and visually inspect the assigned work area for any safety hazards.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing all production schedules.
  • Conducts daily production changes.
  • Comply and follow USDA, OSHA, and all quality control standards.
  • Writing work orders and managing “down time” of production lines.
  • Perform all daily Production Reports.
  • Maintains a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Maintain and seek to improve the working environment for all employees, constituents and peers.
  • Complete all hourly employee payroll, vacation, and PTO accurately and on time.
  • Communicate weekly to the Operations Manager, the employees expecting to use vacation or PTO the following week.
  • Maintain and strive to improve methods, which support viable and attainable throughput on all lines/areas assigned to you.
  • Explain labor costs in your area of responsibility.
  • Meet yield expectations as assigned to the products produced; when this is not possible, be able to explain as to why the yield expectations were not achieved.
  • Meet expectations of our HACCP plan and supporting programs.
  • Complete accurately, all paperwork or digital reports as assigned and disseminate all reports digital or in paper form to all appropriate personnel as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
