About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring high production, quality, and yields while maintaining the safest possible working environment. The position requires a thorough understanding and control of the production process, accurate record-keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required; additional education, such as special training, vocational school, or college courses, is preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory/lead experience preferred, or equivalent educational experience typically acquired through a bachelor's degree.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are helpful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Supervisory Skills: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Production Orders: Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
  • Staffing: Ensure every position is filled before the production line starts.
  • Team Member Management: Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
  • Machinery Performance: Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
  • USDA Inspection: Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
  • Safety Promotion: Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
  • Team Communication: Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
  • Team Building: Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
  • Human Relations: Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
  • Processing Operations: Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of reworked or returned product and provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as needed.
