This role is for a Production Supervisor within the Metal Manufacturing Team, responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met, contributing to production goals and a productive workforce.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proficiency in Metal production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to think logically, analytically, and solve problems
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced high stress environment
• Accountable, and able to make decisions independently
• Able to self-manage time based on scheduled workload

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field considered an asset
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure they meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule and prioritize production orders, ensuring on-time delivery of products.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to maintain product quality and minimize defects.
• Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, efficiently to optimize production output.
• Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and participate in safety training programs to maintain a safe and accident-free workplace.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure adequate supplies for production.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality, and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
• Foster a positive work environment by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts that may arise within the production team.
• Work with cross functional teams to remedy immediate issues and holistic root-cause solutions.
