This role supervises, directs, and develops personnel in the safe and effective utilization of the plant's manufacturing facilities, producing products to company and customer specifications according to production schedules.

Requirements

High School Diploma
At least five-year experience working in a production environment
Thorough understanding of PVC extrusion cause and effects

Responsibilities

Perform and promote the use of 5-Why program for root cause problem solving.
Administer the Westlake Pipe & Fittings Corporation Safety Program on the production shift level, including conducting safety training, shift meetings, inspections, reporting, incident investigation, and follow-up.
Complete accurate and timely reports and paperwork, including SAP Production Reports, SPC Charts, and shift personnel's attendance, overtime, and disciplinary events.
Recommend alterations and redesign of equipment through root cause analysis.
Direct, supervise, and develop personnel to meet or exceed goals and objectives such as production output, scrap rates, material utilization, and regrind usage. Also recommend promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action of subordinates.
Direct, supervise, and develop personnel regarding product quality to Westlake Pipe & Fittings Corporation standards, including testing and record keeping.
Oversee the effective and timely changeover of production lines to meet customer requirements.
Maintain self-appearance, morals, comments, and gestures befitting a representative of Westlake Pipe & Fittings Corporation.
Conduct actions on the job with professionalism.
Attend Supervisor’s meetings as required.
Responsible for the total housekeeping of the plant during the work shift and enforcing all housekeeping policies.
Perform any other duties assigned by his immediate supervisor.
