About The Position

The Supervisor of Plant Services for a hospital oversees the maintenance, repair, and operation of the facility's physical infrastructure and equipment. Additionally, the supervisor coordinates preventative maintenance and responds to urgent facility issues to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• 3 years as a supervisor/lead role in maintenance, construction, area related field
• High School or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and prioritizes repair and maintenance work in an effort to minimize disruption of hospital operations and provide efficient and cost-effective maintenance services.
• Assists in planning and overseeing major hospital repairs, renovations, and new construction in an effort to maintain the hospital's professional appearance.
• Serves as a liaison between hospital and contractor in order to ensure compliance with job specifications.
• Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure that the hospital conforms with established standards and regulations and that the hospital's professional appearance is maintained.
• Selects, trains, orients, and assigns departmental staff members in a manner that ensures efficient departmental operations and complies with relevant regulations governing the employment process.
• Implements and monitors departmental work schedules and duty assignments and oversees departmental staffing levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
