We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to take on a key leadership role supporting our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery PA teams. As a Supervisor Physician Assistant, you will provide advanced clinical care to complex patients while also assuming key leadership responsibilities. These include oversight of hiring and onboarding, scheduling and pay practices, staff development, and ongoing educational initiatives. In collaboration with the Chief PA, you will help drive departmental quality improvement efforts, support hospital-wide initiatives, and advance patient care outcomes. This role offers a dynamic blend of clinical performance and visionary leadership, ideal for a motivated PA ready to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and team performance. This position requires maintaining full-time clinical shift equivalency within either the Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
  • Current NYS licensure
  • NCCPA certification
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in either Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or strong leadership potential
  • Proven ability to manage complex patient care in a high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and patient-centered care
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
