Supervisor - Pharmacy Technicians
About The Position
The Pharmacy Supervisor – Technician provides safe, quality technical and non-technical functions which assist in provision of pharmaceutical care under the supervision and direction of a registered pharmacist in accordance with level of experience, education, policies and procedures. Accountable for leading, managing and advancing people, processes and / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. Implements strategic and operational initiatives including new services/programs, revenue enhancement, expense reduction, managed care utilization systems, and strategies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician state license
- PTCB National Certiifcation (CPhT)
- 3 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful achievement of strategic objectives and goals and optimizing resources to achieve the desired outcomes
- Monitor quality assurance activities and issues, identify opportunities, and create corrective action plans to improve operational effectiveness
- Support business development, revenue integrity, and 340B program activities
- Ensure colleagues are assigned to work areas to achieve established standards for operational support
- Support procurement activities including purchasing, receiving, storing, distribution, inventory, compounding and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
