About The Position

The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Patient Access Departments. This includes activities in scheduling, pre-admission, pre-registration, admission, registration & Quality Assurance. This position will work closely with the Supervisors of the Emergency Room to apply new and emerging approaches to our business processes. This position will perform any and all job related duties as assigned. This is a full time position and is 100% onsite at MLK Hospital. Schedule: Swing shift, Monday-Friday, from 3:00PM-11:30PM, with rotating on-call every 3 weeks from Monday to Monday.

Requirements

High School diploma OR equivalent (GED), and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Demonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
Demonstrated leadership in creating and implementing new processes.
Current BLS certification with American Heart Association OR ability to obtain within 90 days post hire.

Nice To Haves

Two years hospital management experience in revenue cycle functions, preferred.
