About The Position

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for purchasing maintenance parts and other building supplies for the plant. Responsibilities include: oversight of cycle counting inventory control as well as inventory accuracy for the parts area. Ensure all Purchase Orders have proper approvals; works closely with corporate purchasing on the development of new vendors and methods for cost reductions and performs other responsibilities as needed. This position is also responsible for ensuring min/max, potential obsolete, excess, Tyson obsolete, critical, and non critical reviews are kept in compliance.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses is preferred.
• Experience: Basic computer skills required.
• Computer Skills: Strong communication skills
• Supervisory: This position is responsible for managing 5 Team Members within the department.
• Travel: 1-2 trips per year
