About The Position

Responsible for specific area supervision within the FOH and BOH to ensure cleaning activities and tasks are completed to the highest possible quality standards. Serves as role model by demonstrating professionalism, communicates clearly, motivation of their team, actively supporting team members while following up on their suggestions and giving feedback. Communicates needs with department team members as well as other departments, overseeing and implementing all UO safety policies and procedures among team members. Responsible for orchestration and planning of daily cleaning schedules in specific areas for superb show quality results. Responsible for tracking Kronos Time and Attendance and Maximo input for each team member. Institute UO safety policy and procedures and follow up on essential coaching as deemed necessary. Coordinate and communicate with other departments in regards to special projects or events.

Requirements

  • 1-3 Years of experience in a supervisory capacity required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License in order to operate all electric and motorized vehicles.

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) / Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising overall resort cleanliness and show readiness for all front of house and back of house areas, including but not limited to cleanliness of restrooms, all buildings’ interiors and exteriors, service yards, lagoons, waterways with a focus on sustainability.
  • Serving as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, communicating clearly, motivating their team, actively supporting team members while following up on their suggestions and giving feedback.
  • Communicating needs with department team members as well as other departments.
  • Overseeing and implementing all UO safety policies and procedures among team members.
  • Labor and non-labor budget controls while ensuring each employee is scheduled the proper amount of hours in the Kronos system.
  • Creating and disseminating work schedules related to indoor and outdoor cleaning, floors, restrooms and concrete maintenance using the Park Services Share site and Nightly Route Sheet management system.
  • Focusing on guest and employee satisfaction, ensuring that each employee is treated fairly and equally in regards to all UO policies and standards.
  • Ensuring that programs are in place to keep the workplace positive and fun while increasing the overall team member’s engagement level.
  • Completing employee performance appraisals, tracking necessary attendance credits and providing resources for park services team members to improve their overall knowledge and job skills at Universal Orlando and Park Services.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
