About The Position

As a Supervisor, Organ Recovery Services, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you’ll be responsible for supervising Organ Recovery Coordinators (ORCs) daily duties. Assists the Director with staff development and training programs. Ensures departmental compliance with organizational and industry regulations and standards. Provides leadership to Organ Recovery Coordinators (ORC’s) and participates in all aspects of organ recovery operations following LifeNet Health and client policies and procedures. Participates in on call duties. Your work will have purpose every single day, contributing directly to life-changing outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Certified Transplant Professional (or within one year of hire/promotion)
  • Three (3) years of Organ Recovery or related healthcare work experience
  • One (1) year of Supervision in role as team leader, supervisor or manager
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on data analysis
  • Actively engages in talent management practices
  • Ability to plan, implement, and monitor assignments effectively
  • Able to make independent decisions regarding case logistics
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully gather and evaluate pertinent information to draw conclusions and identify potential trends
  • Ability to use time in an effective and productive manner with ability to work under pressure with tight timelines, make critical decisions and maintain a sense of focus and urgency
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
  • Ability to work as part of a team in solving problems and executing improvement initiatives
  • Builds and sustains partnerships across organizational boundaries and functions and externally

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Allied Health, Life Science, or related field
  • One (1) year of Operating Room/Organ Recovery experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members.
  • Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties.
  • Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team’s level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.
  • Partners with Director to ensure schedules are developed and managed equitably and effectively.
  • Monitors assigned team members daily and weekly projects.
  • Participates and assists ORCs with the Organ Recovery process in the OR, on Flyouts and Kidney Perfusion which includes taking on call days.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of recovery records to facilitate organ transplant.
  • Provides support to ORCs in person and via phone when needed.
  • Assists in the establishment and monitoring of departmental and divisional goals and objectives to ensure timely completion.
  • Assists the Director with the evaluation and competency assessment of Organ Recovery Coordinators.
  • Documents, monitors, and provides corrective action of complaints, nonconformances, and accidents.
  • Assist the Director with development of and compliance with departmental policies and procedures as well as compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Assists the Director in developing and maintaining the organ recovery data reporting systems to provide timely reporting of case statistics and other information.
  • Keeps track of all import data and local case data on an ongoing basis.
