About The Position

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising employees, reducing operational costs, monitoring their department's compliance with operational policies, and keeping up to date with the progress of administrative duties. This role involves supervising, coaching, monitoring, motivating, advising, and providing feedback to Department staff to ensure day-to-day activities are handled as needed. The supervisor ensures staff meets production goals and complies with company standards and federal collection laws. They also evaluate employee performance, administer discipline, maintain proper records, recruit quality employees, and motivate and supervise employees. Additionally, the role includes reviewing employee e-time entries, approving overtime and time-off requests, coordinating employee work schedules, and providing technical, advisory, and moral support to the department. The supervisor conducts daily and month-end reviews and audits of processes and transactions, evaluates and reports on department metrics to upper management, develops strategies to improve department metrics and performance, and improves the work environment and operations of their department and the organization as a whole. This role also coordinates and oversees special projects, recommends new approaches for continuous improvement, and completes all required training. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in related field with progressive levels of responsibility
  • Displays strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high energy level and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of applicable collection laws, where applicable
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft applications which include Word and Excel
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position

  • Provide technical, advisory, and moral support to the department
  • Conduct daily and month end reviews and audits of processes and transactions
  • Ensure all batches have been completed prior to end of day
  • Evaluating and reporting on department metrics to upper management
  • Developing strategies to improve department metrics and performance
  • Improving the work environment and operations of your department and the organization as a whole
  • Coordinates and oversees special projects
  • Recommends new approaches to drive continuous improvement
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position
