This role supervises non-exempt employees to achieve daily performance requirements, administers policy and procedure within legal guidelines, and coaches the work group to adapt to new ways of performing work. This includes understanding the legal ramifications of policies, government regulations, and safety standards, and consistently adhering to and administering policy and procedures. The role also involves managing costs by tracking against ABP, providing input into projected plans, conducting cost analysis, and evaluating safety costs against production goals. Effective decision-making using cost factors and identifying gaps is crucial. The position manages production workflow by utilizing multi-warehouse systems to predict and direct workflow, following computer control commands to redirect workflow within warehouse systems, and understanding how all parts are impacted by decisions to redirect workflow. Additionally, the role facilitates the setting of objectives and strategies, daily tactical planning, budgeting, and workforce requirements. It develops performance measures for work groups and clarifies inputs and outputs for continuous improvement, and schedules daily activities to maximize available resources.
