About The Position

This second shift Supervisor Operations manages the day-to-day execution of Zebra’s manufacturing, distribution or repair businesses, with direct oversight and accountability for the people, productivity, safety, quality and other KPIs with the associated business / site. The role involves managing up to 35 employees and/or contract workers in an operational area, being directly responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, performance, and engagement of the staff. The supervisor will assign daily work, monitor progress, and engage to resolve obstacles to ensure KPIs are met. Collaboration with peers across shifts and functions is essential to support optimized performance across the site/business. The role intentionally engages to drive a culture of belonging, development, safety, continuous improvement, and high performance, modeling Zebra’s culture and values for the teams led. Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing operational data, preparing reports for leadership with proposals to address performance gaps, and evaluating the performance of subordinates, providing coaching and feedback. The supervisor will conduct performance appraisals, determine pay increases for direct reports, and partner with Human Resources to recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and discipline. Participation or leadership in projects as assigned and performing other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory experience in a related industry
  • 6+ years of experience including minimum 1 year as team lead /supervisor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Office and Microsoft systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge of quality and statistical analysis tools and methodologies

Responsibilities
